Jordan Harper
Founder, Wayfare Pet Care
I was blessed to grow up surrounded by animals, from German Shepherds and Beagles to turtles and fish. From a young age, I learned just how important pets are to a family. They're more than companions; they become part of the household and part of the memories that shape our lives.
Over time, I also became more aware of how many animals never get the chance to experience a loving home at all. Local shelters are filled with pets waiting for someone to choose them, and they rely heavily on support from the community to provide care, food, and a second chance. Every animal deserves that opportunity, and I believe pet ownership extends beyond our own homes, it's about looking out for the ones still waiting.
That understanding is what led me to found Wayfare Pet Care.
My goal is simple: to ensure that pets throughout State College and the surrounding communities receive the attentive, personalized care they deserve. At the same time, Wayfare Pet Care is committed to giving back in a real, tangible way today. A portion of every dollar earned is donated to local animal shelters, helping support adoption efforts and provide care for animals still waiting for a home.
Pets give us years of loyalty, joy, and companionship. At the same time, there are countless animals still waiting for that same chance. Supporting local shelters helps make those moments possible, for more families, and for more pets who deserve a place to belong.
