Pet Check-Ins in State College, PA
Some pets don't need a walk. They need someone to show up, check on them, fill their bowl, and make sure everything's okay.
Wayfare's drop-in check-ins are built for exactly that. Whether you have a dog, cat, or another pet, we come to your home, take care of what needs doing, and leave you with a report so you're not left guessing. Available Monday through Saturday, 8am to 6pm.

Cats, Dogs, and Everyone Else
Check-ins aren't just for dogs. Cats, small animals, birds: if they need someone to come by and make sure they're taken care of while you're away, that's what this service is for. We handle litter boxes, feeding schedules, medications, and whatever else is part of their routine.
No Surprises on the Bill
Medication administration, light chores, plant watering, bringing in mail: none of that costs extra. Every check-in is a flat rate for the time. What you see is what you pay.
Scheduling
Book through the Wayfare website. Once your visit is confirmed, your slot is held. If anything changes on our end, you'll hear from us with enough notice to make other arrangements.
Before the First Visit
Every new client starts with a meet-and-greet before we ever come through the door alone. It's 45 minutes at your home, and it covers everything: your pet's feeding schedule, their medications, their personality, how they handle strangers, and what a normal day looks like for them.
That's also your chance to ask every question you have before handing over a key. After the meet-and-greet, we're not strangers, and neither is your pet treating us like one.
Who's Coming to Your Home
Jordan Harper, born and raised in State College. Wayfare is a full-time, owner-operated business. You're not getting whoever's available that day off an app. You're getting someone your pet has already met, who knows their routine, and who shows up on time.
Certifications include Pet First Aid and CPR, Red Cross First Aid for Pets, Pet Sitters International (PSI), and Animal Behaviour training. If your pet has medical needs or a complicated routine, we're prepared to handle it.
Part of Something Bigger
A portion of every Wayfare booking goes directly to local animal shelters. Not as a promotion, as a permanent part of how the business runs. When you book a check-in, you're also giving lost pets a second chance at finding their forever home.
Wayfare Pet Care provides pet check-ins and drop-in visits in State College, PA and surrounding Centre County areas, including College Heights, Toftrees, Park Forest, Lemont, and nearby neighborhoods. Anyone outside of those areas may be subject to a $10 upcharge per service.
