How walks work with Wayfare

Add-ons to make life easier

Beyond the walk itself, we offer a range of add-ons to help manage your daily routine. Bring in the mail and trash, water plants, feed your dog, refill water bowls, tidy up pet toys, or handle other small tasks while we're there. You pick what you need, we handle the rest.

Scheduling

All walks are available Monday through Saturday, 8am to 6pm. You book through the Wayfare website. Once confirmed, your slot is yours. If anything changes on our end, you'll hear from us directly and ahead of time.

Before the first walk

Every new client starts with a meet-and-greet. It's 45 minutes, at your home, and it happens before we ever show up to walk your dog.

That meeting is where we learn your dog's routine, their personality, what they respond to, and what to watch for. It's also where you get to ask everything you want to know before handing someone a key to your house. After that, there are no strangers at your door, just someone your dog already knows.

Who's walking your dog

Jordan Harper. Born and raised in State College. Wayfare is a full-time, owner-operated business, not a side gig, not a platform that sends whoever's available. You know who's coming before they arrive.

Certifications include Pet First Aid and CPR, Red Cross First Aid for Pets, Pet Sitters International (PSI), and Animal Behaviour training. If something goes wrong on a walk, we're prepared to handle it.

Part of something bigger

A portion of every Wayfare booking goes directly to local animal shelters. Not as a promotion, as a permanent part of how the business runs. When you book a walk, you're also giving lost pets a second chance at finding their forever home.
